The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A stationary front extending from SE Louisiana to 27N96W to near Tampico, Mexico will get a reinforcing shot of cooler air this morning off the coast of Texas. The reinforced front will push SE and reach from the Florida Panhandle to Veracruz, Mexico by this evening...from SW Florida to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico Thu afternoon...then stall from the Florida Keys to the Yucatan Channel Fri through Sun.
2. High pressure over the central Atlantic and a broad trough in the NW Caribbean will support fresh to strong trade winds over mainly the central Caribbean through the weekend. A front will stall over the Yucatan Channel this upcoming weekend.
3. There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
