The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A stationary front extends from the Straits of Florida to a 1012 mb low pressure just E of Cozumel, Mexico. The low will move E-NE across the frontal boundary pushing the front SE into the Yucatan Channel...and into the far NW Caribbean by this evening. A ridge extending from the SE United States will dominate the Gulf of Mexico waters the remainder of the forecast period.
2. High pressure N of area will continue to support fresh to strong trade winds across the central Caribbean early this morning. Winds and seas will then diminish across the basin Tue through Thu as Atlc ridge shifts E and weakens. A frontal boundary will move again into the far NW Caribbean this evening and remain nearly stationary extending from W Cuba to near the coast of Belize Wed and Thu. Nly winds will persist W of the frontal boundary.
