Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be easterly in direction at 10 mph to 20 mph; increasing to 25 mph to 35 mph this afternoon and evening. Seas will be  rough at 2 ft to 4 ft. or higher  Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to mid 80s ºF or 25°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 78°F to 82°F or 25ºC to 27ºC.




The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: 
1. A push of cold air will move into the NW Gulf of Mexico today. This air will move in behind a frontal boundary currently stretched from Pensacola Bay, Florida through 23N95W to Tampico, Mexico. The front will push southeastward across the northern Gulf of Mexico through Fri night while the southern portion remains W of 94W. The front will stall from Naples, Florida through 24N93W to 18N93W Sat into early Sun before moving from Florida Bay to the NE Yucatan Sun night. Gale conditions are possible in the W central and SW Gulf of Mexico Fri night through Sat. 
2. The pressure gradient between high pressure N of the Caribbean and low pressure in northern Colombia will maintain fresh to strong winds across most of the Caribbean...with gale force winds expected near the coast of Colombia...through early Fri morning. Winds will diminish across the area over the weekend as a cold front approaches the Yucatan Channel from the Gulf of Mexico.
3. The SAL has decreased in area and increased in density.

1. A strong cold front from New Iberia, Louisiana to Tuxpan, Mexico will stall from the Florida Big Bend to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico by Tue morning before weakening and retreating northwestward through Tue night. Strong to gale force winds behind the front will diminish by late today. reinforcing cold air will push the front southeastward across the Gulf of Mexico Wed through Fri. The front will lie from Sarasota Bay, Florida through 23N96W to 19N96W by Fri night. 
2. Strong high pressure N of the area will maintain fresh to strong winds across most of the Caribbean...with gale force winds expected off the NE coast of Colombia Tue afternoon through early Fri morning.
3. The SAL has increased in area and density.

A strong cold front will move into the NW Gulf of Mexico later today...reach from New Orleans to Veracruz, Mexico early Mon...then stall and weaken from near Destin, Florida to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico by Mon evening. Strong northerly winds and building seas will follow the front with areas of gale force winds expected in the western Gulf of Mexico tonight into early Mon. Winds will quickly diminish late Mon and Tue as high pressure builds over the area. Reinforcing cold air will push the remnant front southward across the Gulf of Mexico Wed and Thu.
2. Strong high pressure N of the area will maintain fresh to strong winds across most of the Caribbean. Near gale to gale force winds expected off the coast of Colombia through Sun night, except for a brief reprieve after sunrise Mon through Tue afternoon..
3. The SAL has increased in area and density.

A cold front extending from the Florida Big Bend to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico will extend from central Florida to the E Bay of Campeche, Mexico this afternoon...then will exit the SE Gulf of Mexico Sat morning. Winds behind the front will reach gale force today over the SW waters. High pressure will build in the wake of the front and prevail through Tue.
2. Fresh to strong trades prevail in the central Caribbean. A cold front will move into the NW Caribbean by early Sat. The front will stall and dissipate over the NW waters through Sun. Strong high pressure will build N of the area this weekend into next week. This will increase winds and seas over the forecast waters.
3. The SAL has  changed slightly in area and in density.

A strong cold front from SE Louisiana to NE Mexico will reach from Mobile Bay, Alabama to Veracruz, Mexico this morning....and from near Apalachicola, Florida to 25N90W to 24N92W to the SW Gulf of Mexico near 18N94W early this evening...then from near Tampa Bay, Florida SW 25N86W to near or just along the NW Yucatan Peninsula and to the E Bay of Campeche, Mexico near 18.5N93W Fri morning. The front will then exit the SE Gulf of Mexico Fri evening. Fresh to strong northerly winds will follow the front...reaching gale force offshore of Veracruz, Mexico late tonight through Fri afternoon.
2. Fresh to strong trades will prevail in the central Caribbean spreading and expanding westward this upcoming weekend. A strong cold front will move into the NW Caribbean Fri night extending from eastern Cuba to eastern Honduras Sat night where it will stall and gradually dissipate through Sun night. Expect increased cloudiness and rain through the weekend.
3. The SAL has  again increased slightly in area and in density.

A cold front will enter the NW Caribbean late Fri and extend from central Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras Sat morning. Strong to possibly near gale force N to NE winds are expected N of the front.

Strong high pressure behind the front will increase the potential for NW to N gale force winds S of 22N Thu night while fresh to strong N winds will be present elsewhere in the wake of the front.
2. Fresh to strong trades over the S central Caribbean will diminish through Wed afternoon as Atlantic high pressure shifts eastward and weakens. The trades will then increase beginning Wed night as strong high pressure that builds over the central Atlantic. A strong cold front will push through the Yucatan Channel into the NW Caribbean Fri followed by fresh NE winds and building seas.
3. The SAL has  changed very little in area and in density.
