Again today, skies will be mostly
sunny. Seas will be calm at 1 to 3 feet. Winds will be light and
variable in direction at 5 mph to 10 mph during the day. Increasing
to 20 mph to 30 mph from the north this evening.
A vigorous cold front extending from
Mobile, Alabama to Corpus Christi, Texas will rapidly dive southward
across the Gulf of Mexico this morning...reaching from S Florida to
the Bay of Campeche, Mexico this afternoon. Fresh to near-gale
force north winds are expected N of the front. This cold
front will stretch from central Cuba to southern Belize this evening
and from the Windward Passage to Nicaragua Sunday morning. It will
then stall and become diffuse Sunday evening. Expect increasing
cloudiness, strong north winds and rain with the passage of this
front.
A weaker cold front will reach the NW
Gulf of Mexico Tuesday.
The air temperatures will range from
the mid 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 21ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 78 to 79ºF
or 25 to 26ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
