Again today, skies will be partly sunny, with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 3 feet. Winds will be mostly northwesterly in direction at 10 mph to 20 mph or higher.
This morning, a weakening cold front extends from Cuba to north Belize. It will stall and dissipate over the NW Caribbean through Tuesday. Moderate to fresh N-NW winds will prevail across the W Caribbean Monday and Tuesday. Fresh to strong N winds prevail W of the frontal boundary. Winds will diminish Tue and Wed as high pres builds SE across the Gulf. Expect scattered shows and thunderstorms along the frontal boundary.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 30ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 83 to 84ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.












The Tropical Weather Outlook
Sandy is moving N, at 15 mph. It is expected to turn  NW and make landfall on the Mid-Atlantic coast  of the USA later today. Maximum sustained winds are 85 mph. The barometric pressure is 946 mb and the storm has strengthened.
There is one tropical wave in the Atlantic moving west towards the Caribbean. It is along 42º W. There is some convective precipitation associated with this wave.
Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
