Skies will be mostly sunny. There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms today. Winds will be light and westerly in direction at 5 mph to 10 mph or less. Seas will be  moderate to calm at 1 to 3 ft. or less. The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to the mid to high 80s ºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.




The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. Gulf of Mexico - Winds and seas will increase over the eastern Gulf late today through Fri night as Hurricane Matthew moves N across the Bahamas and along the east coast of Florida. A new cold front may push into the NW Gulf by the end of the week...moving across the Gulf during the upcoming weekend.
2. Caribbean Sea - Hurricane Matthew N of Cuba near 21.1N 74.6W 962 mb at 5 am EDT moving N at 9 kt. maximum sustained winds 110 kt with gusts to 135 kt. The center of Matthew will move across the Bahamas today. Winds and seas will continue to diminish across the Caribbean Seas today. All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should monitor this system closely as it tracks north and east of us. Currently this system does not pose a threat to the Bay Islands and north coast of Honduras.
3. ...Tropical Waves...
3a. A tropical wave moving across the tropical N Atlantic is forecast to reach the Lesser Antilles this evening...then will approach Puerto Rico Thu evening...and Dominican Republic by Fri evening.
3b. Tropical wave extends from 15N53W to 8N58W moving west-northwest near 15 kt over the past 24 hours. Wave coincides with a 700 mb trough south of 13N and remains embedded within a surge of moisture. Scattered moderate to isolated strong convection is within 90/120 nm of a line from 15N44W 14N51W to 16N57W.
