For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1.Gulf of Mexico - A cold front extends from Big Bend region near 29N83W to near 25N87W then stationary front through 21N95.5W to 18N95W. The cold front will move E-SE today reaching from near 26N82W to 22.5N89W by this evening...while the stationary portion begins to drift W and NW today and dissipates tonight. Weak high pres will prevail across the basin tonight and Wed. Another cold front will enter the NW Gulf of Mexico Wed night...extend from the Florida Big Bend to near 25.5N97W Thu night...from Tampa Bay to 25N97W Fri afternoon... then begin to dissipate from extreme S Florida to 25N97W Sat afternoon.
2.Caribbean - Tropical wave across Gulf of Honduras near 85W will shift W of area this afternoon. A second tropical wave along 71W will move W across the W Caribbean Wed through Thu. A third tropical wave across the tropical N Atlc waters and 57W will move W across the SE Caribbean tonight...across the central Caribbean Wed night and Thu...and across the SW Caribbean Thu night through Sat. Fresh to strong trades will linger in the S central Caribbean through Sat night...with mainly moderate trade winds prevailing elsewhere.
3. Tropical Storm Kate, located a few hundred miles north-northeast of the northwestern Bahamas. Tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.
4. The SAL has changed slightly in area and density.
