Today,
skies will be partly sunny. Winds will be mostly NE in direction at
10 mph to 15 mph. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 3 feet.
This
morning, a weak, stationary cold front reaches from central Cuba to
eastern Honduras. This cold front has stalled and is slowly
dissipating. Cool, high pressure air will continue to drift in from the
north increasing the chances of intermittent rain.
The
next cold front is moving into the northern Gulf of Mexico. By this
evening, it will reach from the Straits of Florida to Vera Cruz,
Mexico.
The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low
80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.Ocean water temperatures are 77°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
