Today,
skies will be partly sunny. Winds will be mostly SE in direction at 5
mph to 10 mph or less during the day; increasing to 15 mph to 20 mph
this afternoon and evening. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 3 feet. A
cold front will move off the Texas coast today. This front will move
slowly across the Gulf of Mexico, reaching from southern Florida to
the northern Yucatan by Thursday. Cool, high pressure air will
continue to drift in from the north increasing the chances of rain.The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 77°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
