Today,
skies will be partly cloudy. Winds will be mostly ESE in direction at
5 mph to 10 mph this morning. Increasing to 15 mph to 20 mph this
afternoon and evening. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Divers
should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on
the afternoon dives. There is a slight chance of scattered
rain showers and isolated thunderstorms as cool air continues to
drift in from the north. This morning, the cold front in the Gulf of
Mexico has moved back north. The next cold front is still forecast to
enter the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday.
The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low
80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.Ocean water temperatures are 77°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
