How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
A tropical wave in the central Caribbean with axis along 73W moving W at 10 to 15 kt. The wave will move into the Western Caribbean later today and continue across the W Caribbean through Wednesday.
A cold front is forecast to move off the Texas coast Wednesday. The cold front will extend from the Florida Big Bend to NE Mexico by late Thursday and begin to weaken Friday as it reaches from W central Florida to near 27N88W and stationary to NE Mexico.
A large area of cloudiness and showers located about 700 miles east the Lesser Antilles is associated with an elongated area of low pressure. Although Invest 98L is producing winds to near tropical storm force...the system lacks a well-defined circulation center. Furthermore...thunderstorm activity has decreased and upper-level winds are gradually becoming less conducive for development. This morning, it was located at 14.7N x 49.7W or about 2400 miles E (96°) of Roatan.. It is moving WNW at 10 to 15 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 35 mph. This system has a low to medium chance...10 percent...of becoming a tropical depression during the next 2 to 5 days.
The SAL, has again increased slightly in both area and density in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a .
