How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

Fig 9a - Recent changes in the Saharan Air Layer
A stationary front extending from Tampa, Florida to near Tampico, Mexico will become diffuse late today. another cold front will move off the Texas coast early Tuesday and reach from Apalachicola, Florida to Tampico, Mexico by late Tuesday...and from south Florida to 22N93W to 18N95W in the SW Gulf of Mexico by late Wednesday. Strong to near gale force winds will follow the front along the
Veracruz coast...with fresh to occasionally strong N to NE winds.
A Caribbean Sea tropical wave will move through the central Caribbean today...then weaken as it moves across SW Caribbean Tuesday through Wednesday.
Satellite data indicate that the shower activity associated with the area of low pressure located about 600 miles southeast of Bermuda has increased and has become better organized during the past few hours. Satellite data also show that a surface circulation is developing. This low has the potential to become a short-lived tropical cyclone later today or Tuesday before the upper-level winds become unfavorable for development. This system has a medium chance...40 percent...of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 2 to 5 days while it moves slowly northward...and then turns east-northeastward.
The SAL, has increased in area and density in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a.
