How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
A tropical wave in the W Caribbean extends from W Cuba near 23N84W to Nicaragua near 13N85W moving W at 10 kt. The wave remains embedded within an area of deep moisture that covers the W Caribbean W of 78W.
Remnants of Chantal, in the northern Bahamas, now have a 20% chance for further development.
A weak area of low pressure appears to be forming over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico. Development...if any...of this low should be slow to occur as it drifts northward. This system has a low chance...10 percent...of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
The Saharan Air Layer (SAL) continues to decrease in size and intensity. There is a relatively large tropical wave along 35W to between 8N to 18N which is embedded in the ITCZ. This wave bears watching, for further development, in this coming week.
Else where, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
