Today,
skies
will be partly sunny. Seas
will be moderately choppy at 2 to 4 feet.
Winds will be mostly easterly in direction, this morning, at 10 mph
to 12 mph; increasing this afternoon to 15 mph to 20 mph.
The air temperatures will range from
the low 80s (ºF) to the low 90s (ºF) or 25ºC to 32ºC.
Ocean
water temperatures are 81°F
to 82ºF or 26ºC
to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
There
is a slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated
thunderstorms.
The Tropical Weather Outlook
The remnants of tropical storm Chantal form a large area of disturbed
weather. This system is a tropical wave and has a 20% chance of
becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. The wave is
expected to track across the western Caribbean Sea over the weekend.
It will move westward into the western Caribbean by Friday, then
across the western Caribbean Friday and Saturday...moving west of the
area Saturday night. Interests in the Bay Islands and on the north
coast of Honduras should continue to monitor this system as it moves
west towards us.
The Saharan Air Layer (SAL) has decreased markedly in size and
intensity during the last 24 hours.
Else
where, tropical cyclone formation
is not expected during the next 48 hours.
