This morning , the cold front in the Gulf of Mexico is on a line from Tampa Bay to the middle of the Gulf.. It is moving SE into the Florida Keys. Winds and seas here, will be moderate, today and tomorrow. This week, expect winds and seas to strengthen, beginning on Tuesday.

Today, skies will be sunny with some high level cloudiness. During the day, winds will be from the E to NE at 10 mph or less. Later this afternoon and evening, winds will increase to 15 to 20 mph. The seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height or less.
Regardless of strength, winds will continue to follow the daily weather pattern of decreasing in strength in the early morning hours through mid – day. Then about 3 pm each afternoon, they will begin to strengthen and shift in direction to the NE..The wind velocity normally peaks around midnight.
This daily, Caribbean trade wind pattern was first noted by Christopher Columbus.

The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (F) to the mid to high 80s or 27 to 29 (C).
