A strong cold front will push into the NW Gulf of Mexico later this morning.

The front will reach from Florida to the Bay of Campeche, Mexico by tomorrow. Thursday, it is forecast to turn stationary. Then, on Friday, the eastern portion will begin to retreat north as a warm front, while the western part pushes SE out of the Gulf of Mexico. Winds and seas should begin to diminish by late Wednesday or early Thursday.

Again, today, expect skies to be mostly sunny with a few high level clouds. Wind will be mostly E to SE at 15 to 20 mph. The seas will be 2 to 4 feet. Wind and seas may be higher,locally, especially later today. These conditions will prevail through Wednesday.

The air temperatures will be in the low 70s (F) to the low 80s or 24 to 25 (C).
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 76F to77F or 25C or lower.
