Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be easterly in direction at 5 mph to 25 mph or less. Seas will be  calm to moderate  at 1 ft to 4 ft.  The hurricane season officially begins today.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70sºF to the mid to high 80s ºF or 26°C to 27ºC. Ocean water temperatures are 80°F to 82°F or 26ºC to 27ºC.




The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. A surface high will linger over the NE Gulf of Mexico through Sun night. A trough over the Yucatan Peninsula will produce fresh NE winds over a portion of the SW Gulf each night.
2. Light and variable winds will continue across the SW Caribbean through Thu. Moderate to fresh trades are forecast elsewhere through Wed. Winds will increase to strong between Colombia and Jamaica on Wed night...with these winds expanding over the western Caribbean toward Cuba over the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely across the central and western Caribbean late this week.
3. TROPICAL WAVES...
3a. Tropical wave in the eastern Tropical Atlantic extends along 26W from 2N-11N moving west near 20 kt. Wave is engulfed by Saharan dry air and dust, which is hindering deep convection.
3b. Tropical wave in the west Tropical Atlantic along 51W from 4N- 13N moving west near 20 kt. Wave is embedded within a surge of deep moisture. Scattered moderate to isolated strong convection is from 5N-10N between 50W and 55W.
3c. Tropical wave is E of the Windward Islands with axis along 61W moving west near 15 kt. Wave is embedded within a surge of deep moisture. Scattered moderate to isolated strong convection is from 7N-10N between 55W and 61W.
3d. Tropical wave over Central America with axis along 85W moving west at 15 kt. Scattered moderate to isolated strong convection and thunderstorms are affecting southern Honduras, NW Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
