The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A weakening stationary front extends from SE Haiti SW to 13N77W. A pre-frontal trough is just SE of the eastern section of the Dominican Republic SW to 15N73W. The front will gradually dissipate through Mon afternoon as the trough moves to the Mona Passage and vicinity. High pres building ESE behind the front will support fresh to strong winds through the Windward Passage and in the lee of Cuba through Mon. The high will shift eastward Mon and support fresh to strong NE to E winds within 90 nm of the coast of Colombia...pulsing each night, Mon night through Wed night. Moderate to fresh trades can be expected elsewhere through the forecast period.
