For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. Fri a weak cold front moves across the northern Gulf of Mexico with no significant impact on winds and seas expected. High pressure will build S over much of the central and NW Gulf of Mexico on Fri. A trough will move offshore the Yucatan Peninsula followed by fresh to strong E to SE winds in the eastern Bay of Campeche tonight and Tue night into the morning hours.
2. A low pressure trough extends from E Hispaniola to 12N75W. The trough will weaken as it drifts westward through this evening. High pressure moving eastward across the SW north Atlantic will strengthen the pres- sure gradient across the Greater Antilles producing fresh to occasional strong NE winds through the Windward Passage region and in the lee of Cuba through tonight. Otherwise... moderate to fresh trades are anticipated elsewhere during the forecast period.
