The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. High pressure over the NE Gulf of Mexico will support moderate to fresh SE winds over the W Gulf tonight through Sun...with the exception of fresh to strong SE winds Thu night into Fri as the pressure gradient briefly tightens there. Fresh to locally strong winds will pulse each night into the early morning hours near and to the NW of the Yucatan Peninsula due to local effects induced by a thermal trough.
2. High pressure NE of the Caribbean will support fresh to strong trade winds across the south-central Caribbean through Thu. Winds and seas will diminish across the basin late Thu as a surface trough develops N of the area. A tropical wave along 78W will move across the southwestern Caribbean tonight and exit the basin Thu. A second tropical wave along 58W will reach the Windward Islands on Thu.
