Today, skies will be partly cloudy. Winds will be northerly in direction at 5 mph to 15 mph. Seas will be moderate at 1 to 3 feet or less. Winds and seas maybe significantly higher on the northside of the islands.
A cold front extends from E Cuba to Gulf of Honduras. It will weaken, as it extends from central Cuba to the Gulf of Honduras Saturday...then weaken further and extend from E Cuba to 20N88W Sunday. It will dissipate from the Windward Passage to the Gulf of Honduras early on Sunday.
There is a very slight chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the early morning, late night hours as cool high pressure air moves in from the north.
A new cold front will move into the western Gulf of Mexico Sunday and stall there on Monday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 77°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
