Skies will be mostly sunny. Winds will be ESE in direction at 12 mph to 15 mph during the day; becoming ENE this afternoon and evening at 25 mph to 30 mph. Seas will be choppy to rough at 2 to 4 feet or higher. Divers should exercise caution exiting and entering the boats, especially on the afternoon dives.
A cold front is expected to enter the NW Gulf of Mexico later today. The front will stretch from Tampa Bay, Florida to NE Mexico near 24N98W by late Monday. This cold front will move SE across the Yucatan Channel and into the far NW Caribbean by early Wednesday and dissipate on Thursday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 78°F to 79°F or 23ºC to 24ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 16 and 17 below.
