Today, skies will be partly cloudy. Winds will be SSW to W in direction at 10 to 20 mph or less. Seas will be choppy and confused at 2 to 4 feet. Winds and seas are forecast to increase significantly in strength beginning Tuesday.
There is a continuing chance for scattered, intermittent showers as cool, high pressure air continues to push in from the north, ahead of another cold front.
This morning satellite imagery shows that a cold front reaches from coast of NW Honduras and Belize to central Cuba. It is moving NE and dissipating. The next cold front is expected to move into the NW Gulf of Mexico Sunday night. This stronger cold front will move into the NW Caribbean late Monday with post-frontal northerly winds increasing to near gale force near the Yucatan Channel on Tuesday.
The air temperatures will range from the high 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 82°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft.

The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
