Winds
will be moderate, steady and NE in direction at 10 mph to 15 mph.
There is a slight chance of scattered showers. Seas will be moderate
at 2 to 4 feet.This morning, satellite imagery shows that there still is a stationary, broad frontal trough to the SE of us. It reaches from the eastern Cuba to Nicaragua. It will continue to slowly dissipate through tonight.
A cold front will move into the NW Caribbean on Tuesday and reach from the Windward Passage to Nicaragua early Wednesday with fresh to strong northerly winds developing behind the front
through Wednesday night. The next cold front will move off the Texas coast on Thursday.
Expect cool, cloudy weather and intermittent rain for most of this week.
The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 80°F or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is 20 to 80 ft or less.
The SAL (Saharan Air Layer) has changed in area and in density. See Figs. 9 and 9a below.
