How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. The remnants of tropical cyclone Erika are across the Straits of Florida and extreme S Florida early this morning...with an associated trough extending S into the NW Carib. High pres across the SW N Atlc along 68.5W is helping to produce strong tradewinds across most of the central Carib this morning. As the remnant trough of Erika shifts NW and out of the area this afternoon through tonight...winds will begin to diminish slightly across the central Carib...then more significantly throughout the upcoming week. A tropical wave along 65W will continue W and move across the central Carib tonight through Mon night then across the W Carib Tue through Wed.
2. TD Six, formerly Invest 99L  was upgraded to TS Fred at 30/0900 UTC. TS Fred is centered near 12.9N 19.3W or about 272 nm E-SE of Praia in the Cape Verde Islands moving NW at 10 kt.
3. All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should monitor this system closely as it tracks westward toward us.
Currently this system does not pose a threat to the Bay Islands and north coast of Honduras. But all interests here should monitor this system as it moves west towards us.
3. The Saharan Air Layer (SAL) has increased slightly in both density and area.
