decreasing to less than 10 mph from the WNW to NW late this afternoon
and eveningThere is a chance of scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms, especially during the late night, early morning hours.
The air temperatures will range from the mid 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 84°F to 86ºF or 28ºC to 29ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
A cold front extending from central Cuba to the western Gulf of Honduras will drift SE through Monday...then gradually dissipate from E Cuba to near the Cayman Islands on Tuesday and Wednesday. Broad low pressure will develop over the Gulf of Honduras late on Thursday and Friday.
Another cold front will move into the NW Gulf of Mexico waters Wednesday evening. The cold front will reach from the Florida Big Bend to the Yucatan Peninsula on Thursday...and pass through the Straits of Florida Friday night.
A broad and weak area of low pressure over the central Caribbean Sea continues to produce disorganized cloudiness and showers. Significant development of this low is not expected while it drifts
westward or southwestward during the next few days. This system has a low chance...10 percent...of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours...and a low chance...10 percent...of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 5 days. It is forecast to dissipate late Wednesday
The SAL, has decreased significantly in area and density in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9.
