Today,
skies
will be mostly cloudy.
There
will be heavy showers and thunderstorms as a strong cold front
continues to move across us. Winds will be mostly NNW in direction,
at 30 to 35 mph.Seas in the lee of Roatan will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet.. Out of the lee, they will be significantly higher, at 6 to 10 ft. or greater.
The front will stall Thursday from eastern Cuba to eastern Honduras and become diffuse by Saturday...with winds and seas gradually diminishing.
The air temperatures will range from the mid 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC. With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 81°F to 86ºF or 26ºC to 29ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.

There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time and tropical cyclone formation is not expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The SAL, has not changed significantly in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a above.
