The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

Fig 9a - Recent changes in the Saharan Air Layer
A tropical wave along 83W S of 21N will move W of the area Friday. This tropical wave is moving across the Western Caribbean with axis extending from 21N82W to 10N82W and is drifting west at about 10
kt. The wave continues embedded within a mostly moderate moist environment as depicted on the SSMI total precipitable water imagery (See Fig. 10 above). Strong northerly wind shear in this region of the basin is hindering deep convection. Isolated showers are from 12N-19N between 78W-87W.
A trough is just passing through the Lesser Antilles. This trough will move across the eastern Caribbean today...then across the central Caribbean tonight through Saturday. It is forecast to stall Saturday through Monday. A weak low may form along the trough.
A cold front will move off the Texas coast by tonight It will reach from near Fort Myers, Florida to near Tampico, Mexico on Saturday. Strong north winds are forecast to be behind the western portion of this front.
There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time.
Again the SAL, has changed slightly in area and density in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a.
