The CoCoView Resort Weather Forecast
This weather forecast is intended for CoCoView Resort guests and applies only to the south side of Roatan

Saturday Nov. 30, 2013
Again today, skies will be mostly cloudy. There will be occasional heavy rain showers, as the remnants of a strong cold front remain stalled from the middle of Cuba to the NE Honduras and cool high pressure air continues to push down from the north. Winds west of the front will be mostly NW in direction, at 15 to 20 mph.
Seas in the lee of Roatan will be moderate at 2 to 4 feet.. Out of the lee, they will be significantly higher.
The stationary front is now forecast to become diffuse by late Saturday or possibly as late as Monday...with winds and seas gradually diminishing.
A weak cold front is forecast to push into the Gulf of Mexico Monday and Tuesday.
The air temperatures will range from the low 70s (ºF) to the low 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC. With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 79°F to 81ºF or 25ºC to 26ºC. Visibility is generally 10 to 80 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
A system in the eastern Atlantic has a 10% chance of becoming a subtropical cyclone in the next 5 days as it moves northeastward.
The SAL, has decreased in area and density in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a above.

Again today, skies will be mostly cloudy. There will be occasional heavy rain showers and intermittent thunderstorms, as the strong cold front remains stalled from the middle of Cuba to the Honduran – Nicaraguan border and cool high pressure air continues to push down from the north. Winds west of the front will be mostly NNE to N in direction, at 20 to 30 mph.
Seas in the lee of Roatan will be moderate at 2 to 4 feet.. Out of the lee, they will be significantly higher, at 8 ft. or greater.
The stationary front is now forecast to become diffuse by late Saturday or Sunday...with winds and seas gradually diminishing.

The CoCoView Resort Weather Forecast

Wednesday Nov. 27, 2013
Today, skies will be mostly cloudy. There will be heavy showers and thunderstorms as a strong cold front continues to move across us. Winds will be mostly NNW in direction, at 30 to 35 mph.
Seas in the lee of Roatan will be moderate at 1 to 4 feet.. Out of the lee, they will be significantly higher, at 6 to 10 ft. or greater.
The front will stall Thursday from eastern Cuba to eastern Honduras and become diffuse by Saturday...with winds and seas gradually diminishing.
The air temperatures will range from the mid 70s (ºF) to the mid 80s (ºF) or 24ºC to 26ºC. With wind chill, it will feel like the mid 60s F, especially when exiting the water.
Ocean water temperatures are 81°F to 86ºF or 26ºC to 29ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
There are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic at this time and tropical cyclone formation is not expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
The SAL, has not changed significantly in the last 24 hours. See Figs. 9 and 9a above.
