The Tropical Weather Outlook
This morning, the center of the 1008 mb low pressure system, 94L, was located near 18.N by 82W. This position is about 325 miles ENE of us. It continues to drift slowly north-northwestward, with maximum sustained winds of 25 mph. There now is zero chance of this system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours. Conditions are not favorable for further development but there is heavy rain and thunderstorms associated with and to the east, of the low pressure center. To date, for the most part, we have been to the west of this frontal trough boundary and received very little rain from this system. These conditions could change as this system drifts slowly northward.
