The Atlantic Hurricane Season officially starts today.
For the Western Caribbean Sea, it appears that the season will start early and take up where it left off last fall. All the computer models are predicting that an area of low pressure will form and strengthen in the area between Jamaica and Honduras by Thursday.
Conditions are favorable for the low to become a tropical depression later in the week.
All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should monitor the progress of this system as it develops.
