The Tropical Weather Outlook
A broad area of low pressure located
about 1000 miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands continues
to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Development, if
any, of this system should be slow to occur over the next couple of
days while it moves to the west or west-northwest at 15 to 20 mph.
After that time, environmental conditions are expected to become
unfavorable for development.
A tropical wave along 84W will pass W
of the area by Wednesday. A second tropical wave along 68W will reach
the central Caribbean today and the Western Caribbean Wednesday;
before moving W of
the area Thursday night. Expect
increasing cloudiness, intermittent rain and thunderstorms with the
passage of these tropical waves. Two other tropical waves will follow
later this week.
