The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. High pressure will continue to build in from the NE through early Tue with fresh to strong E-SE flow expected across the Gulf of Mexico. Winds will gradually diminish to moderate Tue night through Wed night as the pressure gradient weakens. A trough will develop over the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon and weaken as it moves W-NW over water each night...with surges of fresh to strong NE-E winds during the overnight hours...and possibly to near gale on Mon night.
2. Moderate to locally fresh trade winds will persist across the Caribbean through Thu night as broad low pressure dominates the western Atlantic. NE winds are expected to pulse to fresh to strong each night S of Hispaniola and the approach to the Windward Passage Mon night through Fri night with fresh to strong S of E Cuba on Mon night.
