How to use this page:
The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column is a very useful widget. It is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
1. A trough will develop over Yucatan Peninsula each night and drift westward into the SW Gulf of Mexico each night before dissipating in the morning hours.
2. Trade winds will weaken through Fri as a broad trough in the W central Atlanticc moves W and passes N of the area. Winds will increase across the E waters this weekend as the trough N of the area weakens.
3. A tropical wave is W of the ITCZ from 1N to 14N with axis near 54W...moving W at 15-20 kt during the last 24 hours. Further convection is being hindered mainly by strong deep layer wind shear in this region of the tropical Atlantic. See Fig 15b above.
4. Tropical cyclone formation is not expected in the next 24 to 48 hours.
