The title of each of the figures below is linked to the page where the information originates.
Since I write and post early in the day and generally do not update the page until the next morning; by clicking on the link, it allows you, the viewer, to get the latest information.
This is not only convenient but allows you to track weather events such as cold fronts and hurricanes from a single web page.
In addition, in the right column are two very useful widgets. The first is a tropical weather tracker which shows you the location and forecast track of active tropical storm systems.
The second is a trip planner...yesteryear's weather at a glance. This widget lets you check historic weather for your trip dates.
Wednesday September 05, 2012
Skies will be mostly sunny, with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be moderate to choppy at 2 to 4 feet. Winds will be from ESE to ENE at 10 to 20 mph. There will be a moderate breeze during the day. Winds will be fresh to strong this afternoon and evening.
Divers should continue to look for signs of coral spawning tonight.
You can follow coral spawning in the Caribbean, on Facebook, at Coral Spawning Research.
The air temperatures will range from the low 80s (ºF) to the low 90s (ºF) or 26ºC to 32ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are 82 to 83ºF or 26 to 27ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 80 feet.
In the Atlantic Ocean, TS Leslie, continues inching slowly N-NW. The latest guidance from computer models continues to show Leslie making a very close pass by Bermuda on Saturday. Leslie is a huge storm. Bermuda is likely to see a 48-hour period of tropical storm-force winds beginning Friday night.
TD13 is now TS Michael. Michael is nearly stationary. None of the models show that Michael will threaten any land areas. Michael is a classic example of the type of storm that likely would have been missed before the advent of satellites, since the storm is small, far from land, and may be short-lived.
Elsewhere, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours.
