For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:1. A surface high will meander over the N central Gulf of Mexico waters tonight then will shift E over the NE Gulf waters on Tue where it will meander through Sat.
2. Broad and weak low pressure with light and variable winds will continue across the SW Caribbean through Fri. Moderate to fresh trades are forecast elsewhere through Wed then increasing to a strong breeze between Colombia and Jamaica on Wed night...with these strong conditions then spreading E across the S central Caribbean late in the week.

Strong SE return flow will develop along the SE Texas coast on Thu night with these condtions expanding N across across the NW Gulf of Mexico early Fri before diminishing.
2. A tropical wave S of 18N along 79W will move W of the area late Thu with associated fresh to locally strong E winds across the SW Caribbean diminishing late Thu. Broad low pressure will develop over the SW Caribbean on Fri and Sat.

High pressure over the NE Gulf of Mexico will support moderate to fresh SE winds over the W Gulf tonight through Sun...with the exception of fresh to strong SE winds Thu night into Fri as the pressure gradient briefly tightens there. Fresh to locally strong winds will pulse each night into the early morning hours near and to the NW of the Yucatan Peninsula due to local effects induced by a thermal trough.
2. High pressure NE of the Caribbean will support fresh to strong trade winds across the south-central Caribbean through Thu. Winds and seas will diminish across the basin late Thu as a surface trough develops N of the area. A tropical wave along 78W will move across the southwestern Caribbean tonight and exit the basin Thu. A second tropical wave along 58W will reach the Windward Islands on Thu.

The next cold front will enter the northern Gulf Sat and move SE over the Gulf E of 90W Sun and Mon as low pressure develops off the SE coast of U.S. enhancing the northerly flow over eastern Gulf. Fresh SE winds are expected in the western Gulf Mon night through Tue night.
2. High pressure N of the area will support fresh to strong trade winds over the south-central Caribbean through Sat night... but the areal coverage of the winds will gradually decrease. Fresh to strong E-SE winds will prevail in the Gulf of Honduras through Sat. Winds are forecast to diminish across the basin Sun and Mon as high pressure N of the area shifts E and weakens.
